OKLAHOMA CITY, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 – Fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder will have a wide array of opportunities to enjoy the team during the 202526 season, including streaming, cable, satellite, local TV, and radio.

In the last edition of Friday Night Lights, the Seminole Chieftains pulled off a thrilling homecoming comeback on their own field against the Lone Grove Longhorn. The 34-28 win kept Seminole undefeated at 4-0, as well as the all-too-important 1-0 start in district play.

The Strother Yellowjackets hosted the Keota Lions Friday night and almost posted a shutout victory over the Lions at home. The Yellowjackets lit up the scoreboard in the first quarter and took the lead with a six-point touchdown. The two-point conversion failed.

A to Z SPORTS - Entering the 2025 NFL season, the Oklahoma Sooners already had five former starting quarterbacks who were named starters on their respective NFL teams (Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, Spencer Rattler, and Caleb Williams).

The Varnum Whippets took on the Lookeba-Sickle Panthers for the Class C District Championship at home Friday afternoon. The Whippets did not disappoint and almost came away with a shutout victory. The Panthers went to bat first to start the game but went three and out.

The Sasakwa Vikings hosted the in-county Bowlegs Bison Friday night for their Homecoming Night. The game was also Military Night as both teams wore representative uniforms. The Vikings selected Kay Kay Wheeler for their Homecoming Queen and Sherman Mitchell Jr. for their Homecoming King.

SOONER WIRE - Shortly after the moving and shaking in the US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday, the AP Top 25 was released and Oklahoma found itself in even better position. The Sooners, ranked sixth in the Coaches Poll, moved up to No. 5 in the AP Poll.

On Friday, Sept. 26, Seminole High School welcomed back alumni, crowned a king and queen, and witnessed a crazy Chieftain comeback victory over the Lone Grove Longhorn on homecoming.

The Varnum Lady Whippets are District Champions are winning the Championship over Bowlegs 10-0 and 21-4 Thursday.
