Strother Yellowjackets Get Third Straight Win in Friday Night's Game

The Strother Yellowjackets hosted the Keota Lions Friday night and almost posted a shutout victory over the Lions at home.

The Yellowjackets lit up the scoreboard in the first quarter and took the lead with a six-point touchdown. The two-point conversion failed.

Strother held the Lions scoreless in the first quarter and added one more score before the quarter was up.

The Yellowjackets were up 12-0, heading into the second quarter. Strother dominated the quarter with six points to start the quarter. The Yellowjackets train kept rolling on offense as Strother scored six points then eight points (two-point conversion was good), eight more points.

The Lions managed to get on the board before the half with six points scored but the Yellowjackets widen the gap with six more points before the end of regulations.

The Yellowjackets started the third where they left off in the first half with another touchdown to put the game away.

The Keota Lions had seen enough, and the game was called.

Strother Yellowjackets won another at home with a final score of 52-6.

This coming Friday will be a bye week for the Yellowjackets. Strother will be back at home on the 10th of October to face Thackerville.

The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
