Ronnie Parsons may not have an axe to grind, but he had one to chunk Tuesday at the newly opened “Chunk ‘n Axes” in Seminole. The business opened May 1 and in addition to throwing axes at targets, customers can enjoy snow cones and other refreshments. Chunk ‘n Axes is located at 601 W. Broadway.

Independence Day Festival Set For July 3

The Seminole Chamber of Commerce has planned an Independence Day celebration for Saturday, July 3. Festivities are slated to get underway at 5 p.m. in the downtown district, which will conclude with a huge fireworks display beginning at dark.

Correction

The article “Local Teen Confesses to Robbing Convenience Store in 2018” in the June 16 edition of the Seminole Producer contained an error. Det. Chris Ayers was quoted in the article as saying that Andrew Choate’s family encouraged him to turn himself in.
