Seminole Nation Opens Tribal Government Facilities Under Phase Two of Recovery Plan
On June 14, newly released opening guidance began at Seminole Nation tribal government facilities as day-to-day operations move toward pre-pandemic functioning.
Administration officials approved guidance that was distributed by the Human Resources department to the tribe’s program and service directors, announcing “Phase 2,” of the tribe’s “Recovery and Reopening Plan.”
Phase 1 initially began September 28, 2020.
Phase 2 guidance, is as follows (SNO COVID-19 Recovery/Reopening Plan is tentative and subject to change due to Coronavirus pandemic):
- SNO Complex will open to Tribal Members by appointment only. No other visitors will be allowed at Tribal Complex/Tribal Buildings with the exception of authorized vendors.
- Curb service or electronic service is advised. If Tribal members must enter a building for business purposes, allow only two (2) members at a time per Program.
- Employees are to maintain six (6) feet of distance among each other while working. Supervisors should encourage virtual meetings with Non-SNO entities by utilizing RingCentral (tribal video/phone conferencing).
- Maintain only one entrance and one exit at the Tribal Complex. Employees and visitors entering each Tribal Building must check temperature using provided thermometer. - All Staff at the Tribal
- All Staff at the Tribal Complex and Tribal Buildings will need to wear PPE (masks, gloves, etc.) when within six (6) feet of another individual.
- Meetings, training, or activities should be in groups of no more than 10. SNO travel may be allowed if required by funding agency and must receive final approval from the Executive Office.
- Outside gatherings sponsored by SNO Departments are allowed as long as attendees are spaced six (6) feet apart, utilize PPE and have temperatures taken. If an attendee of an SNO event has symptoms of COVID-19, he/she is advised to stay home and get tested.
