PHOENIX (AP) — Diana Taurasi is retiring after 20 seasons, ending one of the greatest careers in women’s basketball history. The WNBA’s career scoring leader and a threetime league champion, Taurasi announced her retirement on Tuesday in an interview with Time magazine.

The Varnum Whippets held the Regional Playoffs at their home gym this past weekend and came away with the Regional Championship Monday night. The Varnum Lady Whippets started out their regional playoffs against Pittsburg Friday night. The games were postponed due to the weather.

The Strother Yellowjackets come out on top in their Regional Playoffs and are crowned Regional Champions in District 4 Monday. The regional play had a postponement Thursday due to the weather. The games were moved to Friday, Saturday and Monday.

Seminole Lose First Round of Districts Saturday

Seminole traveled to Shawnee Saturday night for their first round of Districts and fell to a tough North Rock Creek team. The Lady Chieftains started the evening off for Seminole. Seminole struggled on offense in the first with only three points scored.
