ATHLON SPPORTS - The college football coaching carousel claimed another victim. With just one game left in the regular season, teams are cutting ties with underperforming coaches and getting a jump-start on the search for a new leader ahead of bowl season.

The Seminole State Lady Belles basketball team hosted the National Park College Lady Eagles Saturday afternoon. The Lady Belles entered the game 5-3 on the season and jumped out to an early lead to start the game. Seminole State went on a 21 to 10 run in the first quarter.

The Sasakwa Vikings hosted the Bowlegs Bison for their first basketball home game of the season Friday night. The Vikings and Lady Vikings protected their home court with the Lady Vikings winning a tough battle 41-30 and the Vikings boys dominating their game 89-32.

NORMAN (AP) — Oklahoma’s fans literally couldn’t wait to celebrate their team’s victory over Alabama. An overzealous crimson and cream-clad mob stormed the field with 28 seconds remaining. After an announcement that the game was not over, the field was cleared.

The Konawa Tigers made it to the quarterfinals in their football playoffs and traveled to Woodland Friday to take on the number one Woodland Cougars. The game didn’t go like the Tigers wanted it to go but fought through to the end. Konawa High School, Jr.
