SSC Lady Belles Stay Undefeated at Home

The Seminole State Lady Belles basketball team hosted the National Park College Lady Eagles Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Belles entered the game 5-3 on the season and jumped out to an early lead to start the game. Seminole State went on a 21 to 10 run in the first quarter.

The defense of the Lady Eagles stepped up the game in the second frame and held the Lady Belles to 9 points scored while closing the gap with 13 points scored of their own.

Seminole State Lady Belles had the lead heading into the half with a score of 30-23.

The Lady Eagles stuck with their game plan in the third and again went on a 13-9 run to close the gap more.

The Lady Belles had a 3-point lead going into the final quarter. Seminole State went back to work and dominated the quarter with a 20-11 run to secure the win and now have an undefeated home record of 2-0.

Scoring for Seminole State was Nazhoni Sleeper with 21 points, 5 threepoint shots, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and was 4 of 6 from the foul line.

Haddie Lindley scored 15 points, 5 three-point shots, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Kneah Smith scored 10 points and 3 rebounds.

The Lady Belles took on OK Wesleyan JV Monday night and won 94-66 to continue their home streak.

Next up for the Seminole State Lady Belles is a home game against Dallas College Cedar Valley on December 7th at 2 p.m.
