My fellow senators and I closed out the special session by confirming Jennifer Callahan, a lawyer with extensive agricultural experience, to the board of regents that oversees Oklahoma State University and several other smaller colleges. She will be a great addition to the board. The Senate also unanimously passed a resolution condemning political violence after innocent bystanders were killed and wounded in the failed assassination attempt on President Donald Trump’s life. The resolution honored those innocent victims and praised the first responders who quickly took action to save lives.
