Tax Revenue up Across Seminole County

April sales tax receipts were up over the year for every entity in Seminole County, the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) reported last week. The OTC recently made its monthly sales tax disbursement to Oklahoma’s cities and towns, which was based primarily on April business.

Above, Seminole Firefighters help extinguish a fire aboard a travel trailer that was being towed by a pickup late Sunday afternoon. The blaze broke out as the trailer made its way up Ideal Street near Wrangler Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

Seminole Schools Preparing For The Post-Pandemic Era

Looking ahead to the upcoming year, Seminole Public Schools have begun to make plans for what the fall 2021 semester will look like in the post-pandemic era. In order to prepare, the school has scheduled what they refer to as a “Post-Pandemic Planning Meeting” for this Thursday, June 17, at 7:00 PM.
