Seminole County Assessor Denise Bailey announced Monday morning that the Oklahoma Statutes Title 68.2817(K) directs the assessor and staff to make appropriate value adjustments to improvements destroyed or partially destroyed by fire, lightning, storm, winds, floodwaters, overflow of streams or other caused during any year. The assessor shall determine the amount of damage and shall reassess the property for that year at the fair cash value of said property, taking into account the actual loss of functional use of the property.
