City Schedules Public Hearing on Water Line Issues

The City of Seminole is sending out letters to approximately 300 residents whose water service lines may be impacted by galvanized pipe. A public hearing has been scheduled during the city council meeting Tuesday evening to address the letters and what they mean.

Applications Accepted For Leadership Oklahoma Class 38

Leadership Oklahoma, a statewide leadership program in its 39th year, is now accepting applications for its 2025-2026 adult class. The organization has local ties, as Seminole State College President Lana Reynolds has served as its chair in the past, and multiple meetings have been held at St.

American Legion Post Honors Fallen Marine

American Legion Post 204 is flying a special flag the month of January in honor of a fallen Marine who was also a minister. This month’s flag, which flies in Veterans Park north of the Seminole Municipal Building, honors Larry Strickland, who passed away in 2021.

Snow Day

Snow was the order of the day Thursday, and not many people were out. Seminole Public Schools, along with most school districts across the county cancelled classes for the day. The Chamber of Commerce Forum was also cancelled. Multiple accidents were reported on Interstate 40.
