Varnum Whippet Jon Madkins made his 1,000th rebound in his Basketball career at the Wetumka game Friday night.

Champs The Strother Yellowjackets won the Class B-I, District 4 Championship over Gans 75-30. District 6 Champs The Varnum Whippets won the Class B-I, District 6 Championship over Wetumka 71-54.

The OSSAA District Championships were held at several different locations this past Thursday and Friday for Class A through Class B-II. Seminole County had six high schools win their district championships.

The Seminole Chieftains hosted the Tecumseh Savages for their last home game of the regular season Thursday night. In between games the Chieftains honored their basketball, cheer, band and pom seniors. The Lady Chieftains and the Lady Savages hit the court first to start the evening.
