Do you ever wonder what your purpose is in life? We all were created with a will to choose right from wrong. And we can make this a better place to live in or we can make it worse for ourselves and others. How are you doing by the choices you make?

This letter is about the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department. My first bad experience with the Sheriff’s Department started in July 2024. I had a couple living in my home which I also occupy when I came back to Oklahoma every 3-4 weeks.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 24, 2025 DEAR ABBY: A few years ago, we were invited to my cousin’s eldest daughter’s wedding. Although my cousin and I are close, I barely know the daughter. We were invited only because my cousin wanted me there.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 23, 2025 DEAR ABBY: I recently realized that my sister-inlaw has been kissing my boyfriend on the mouth every time she greets him. We all live in the same town and get together for dinners and events often.

DEARABBY: My younger sister and I were close growing up. We didn’t have many friends, but we were always willing to play games and have fun with each other. At one point, my sister said she wanted to marry me when we grew up.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2025 DEAR ABBY: I am a middle- aged slender woman born into a family of women who have always struggled with weight. Ever since I can remember, I have been subjected to nasty jibes and microaggressions regarding my weight.

This month we recognize the birthday of Charles Perrault, who preserved folk tales like “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Sleeping Beauty” and many more. We’d bake him a cake, but since he was born in 1628 he’s 397 now, and few folks that age can blow out the candles.

DEAR ABBY: My husband and I have been friends with another couple for 15 years. We would see each other once or twice a week, alternating between each other’s home and occasionally out to dinner, where we took turns paying the bill.

With all the serious challenges that’s happening from the east coast to the west, without HOPE, it’s really hard to “see the light at the end of the tunnel,” so to speak. And one of the best books I’ve read in awhile, deals with just that.

Years ago, a young couple left their almost-twoyear-old son with his favorite baby sitter, Miss Elva. A few days later, she laughingly told them that he had come to her that evening, dragging his diaper bag behind him. Paul was a unique little boy who disliked speaking.
