Read moreIt has been a busy few weeks juggling the start of the legislative session and a number of speaking engagements across the district to keep my constituents informed about top legislative issues this year. I was honored to join five of my legislative colleagues for a panel discussion during the American Farmers and Ranchers conference last weekend. We discussed a full slate of legislative policy proposals to support growth within Oklahoma’s agriculture industry, which is such an important part of the state’s economy. We talked about how inflation and national economic headwinds are affecting local farmers and ranchers. We also discussed efforts at the Capitol to protect our cattle ranchers and the cattle industry by banning the sale of lab-grown meat. Several bills have been filed on this topic as more entities try to pass cultured meat products off as real meat. Thanks to AFR for having me on the panel. This group does a lot to be a strong voice for Oklahoma agriculture businesses and producers.
