Read moreU.S. Senator Jim Inhofe sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin asking him to suspend the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on the military. Inhofe is the Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He also is asking Austin to answer some questions about how the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandates could impact military readiness, a subject which Inhofe adamant about ensuring.
Read more“Although in August Oklahoma saw the highest number of citizens participating in the workforce in state history, many employers are still struggling to find employees,” Shelley Zumwalt, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) Executive Director, stated in an OESC press release on Monday. Last week OESC announced that unemployment in Oklahoma is nearing pre-pandemic levels and recognized the 11th consecutive week of decline in the four-week moving average in both continued and initial unemployment claims. Zumwalt clarified that claims fluctuate some weekly and may actually increase from one week to the next. To smooth out the volatility in the weekly initial claims data, a four-week moving average is used to assess trends.
