Damages Only in City Accidents
Damages only resulted from two traffic accidents on city streets on Tuesday, city police reported.
One involved a panel truck driven by Warren C. Green and a car belonging to Judy Lynn Hutchins of 1029 Sunnymeade Drive, Wewoka at Second and East Oak.
Police said Green backed from a parking place into the Hutchins car.
The other accident was in the 200 block of East Evans, and involved a car driven by John Wesley Baker of 119 Park, and a parked car belonging to Elsie Mae Cane of 215 East Evans. Investigating officers said Baker was traveling east on East Evans, pulled too far to the right and struck the parked Cane car. Damages to the Cane car estimated at $400 and to the Baker car at $300.

SHS Students to Plant Trees at St. Crispin’s
The Seminole high school biology class along with other students at the high school will be working Saturday at the St. Crispin’s Lodge, located east of Seminole on highway 9. The students will be assisting Lodge manager James Mara in the planting of 500 Red Bud trees around the Lodge.
Jim Drake, the instructor of biology at the high school, will be in charge of the students. “I feel that the project will help in our study of the plant world and will bring the students to appreciate the plant kingdom more,” Drake said. According to Drake the biology class at the high school has been studying about the plant kingdom.
Karla Schall is Winner
The granddaughter of two Seminole women, Mrs. W.W. Shults and Mrs. Ester Schall has been announced to be the recipient of a National Merit scholarship. She is Karla Schall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz W. Schall of Anchorage, Alaska.

GED Test Planned at New Lima Soon
Supt. Bryce Hill of New Lima announced today that arrangements are being made through the Adult Learning Center in Ada to give the GED Tests to interested individuals at the New Lima school on three successive nights, with the dates to be announced later. Individuals taking the test must be 21 and a resident of the state and must file an application this coming week with Supt. Hill at New Lima.
