New Lima Elementary celebrated “Read Across America” week this past week. Eighteen volunteers, made up of community, faculty, staff, and students read to students throughout the week in the library, classrooms, gym, softball, and baseball fields.

Fire at Executive Inn Quickly Contained

A rapid response by the Seminole Fire Department on Wednesday afternoon to a fire that was reported at the Executive Inn, 2323 Boren Blvd., prevented what could have been a much larger blaze. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze to a single room with minor damage incurred.

Comedy Show to Address Depression, Suicide

ADA – A comedy show is coming to East Central University to take a look at depression and suicide. The show will be presented by Brad Bonar Jr. and friends inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 21. The show is free and open to the public.
