Undoubtedly, you’re familiar with the term “suburb.” But how about “exurb?” According to realtor.com, exurbs and suburbs share similarities. Both were born from a desire for more living space and privacy within proximity of city amenities, but there are substantial differences, chief among them being location. Suburbs lie just outside of the city, but exurbs are further out, beyond the suburbs. Exurbs tend to be situated in more rural areas, such as Seminole, which has a population of just over 7,000 (anything less than 50,000 is considered rural).
