Flag Flies in Honor of Fallen Soldier

American Legion Post 204 is flying a special flag the month of November in honor of a fallen soldier who served during the Vietnam War. This month’s flag, which flies in Veterans Park north of the Seminole Municipal Building, honors Kenneth Gouker, who passed away in December 2021.

Regents Approve Haney Center Overhaul Project

The Seminole State College Board of Regents met Oct. 30 to conduct regular business, accept the College’s annual external audit, and approve a major facilities project for the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. The meeting followed an Audit Committee session held earlier that morning.

Local Haunt Ranked Scariest in State

Visiting Sacred Heart Cemetery late at night was practically a rite of passage for many Seminole County youth, especially for those who were coming of age in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
