William George, Jr.
William Henry George Jr. passed into eternal life on June 1, 2026 at the age of 92 in Rhome, TX. He was born in Sasakwa, OK. April 11,1934 to William H. George Sr. and Mamie (Brown) George.
Bill was born, raised and attended school in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. He was the fourth child and oldest son of Bill and Mamie George. He grew up early in helping with the day to day chores of a farming family.
From a young age William was searching for the truth of the gospel. He shared his faith with so many that they would come to him asking him to pray for them.
William served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1957. His tour of duty was in the Korean War. He was a Demolition Army Munitions Expert and also an Auto Tech Vehicle Mechanic. At Fort Polk he was in Sage Brush Company. At Fort Hood he was in Baker Company following Able Company. He drove for several Army Generals.
He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Judd (Russell) of Claremore, OK, Regina Sipe (Tom) of Rhome, TX, and Anastasia Ling-Howard (Stephen) of Catoosa, OK. 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rebecca June Young, parents, his siblings, Sylvia Davis, Vivian Gilbreth, Oletha Surrency, Novella Lewis and Robert George, his son-in-law James Ling, and great granddaughter Johanna Judd.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Russell Judd officiating. Interment to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery in Vamoosa, Oklahoma.
