Dwain Lee Pitts
Pitts Dwain Lee Pitts, 73, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at his home.
Dwain, the son of Ray and Betty (Adams) Dorrough, was born November 7, 1952, in Arapaho, Oklahoma. He grew up in western Oklahoma around Hollis and Clinton and settled in the Seminole area in the early 1970s.
On November 16, 1973, he married Della Gore in Seminole. He and Della shared 51 years of marriage prior to her passing on January 20, 2025.
Dwain worked as a mechanic and truck driver. He operated St. Louis Salvage, Laird Oilfield, and JMG vac Trucks. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time caring for his yard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Pitts; his parents; numerous siblings; and a grandson, Quinton Pitts, Jr.
Dwain is survived by his son, Quinton Pitts, of St. Louis, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew Pitts and Brianna of Asher, Oklahoma, Shelby Haugh of Colorado, Tristen Pitts and Jessica Sipes of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Quinton Pitts III and Rebekah of St. Louis, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Axel and Carver Pitts, Noah Haugh, Khloe Alvarez, Kayden Sipes, Derrick Pitts, Legend Pitts, and Waylon Pitts; sisters, Maggie Kilgore and Richard of Wewoka, Hazel Jackson of Tupelo, Frances Monks of Bowlegs, Kay Lee of Wewoka, and Margaret Jackson of Wewoka; brothers and other family members and friends.
Services were held at Monday, June 22, 2026, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
