Williamson Anita Evelyn Williamson passed away surrounded by loved ones in Blanchard, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 83 years.

Anita is the daughter of Edward Howard Griffin & Velva Opal (Merredith) Griffin, born on August 3, 1942, in Bald Knob, Arkansas. She lived all her life in various communities in Oklahoma, mostly in Seminole County. Her family moved when she was two years old to Bearden, where she was brought up and attended schools until her early teenage years. After that the family lived for three years in Cromwell, then for several years in Wewoka. Anita married Leonard J. Williamson in June of 1963 and moved to Seminole, where together they raised Debbie and LaDonna. Later in life, Anita lived for several years with long time friend Stanley Rogers in Holdenville to be near family until Stanley’s passing. She lived in Seminole from 2007 until moving to Blanchard in 2020, where she loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Anita was all about doing for others. She loved cooking for family and friends. Her fruit cake and banana bread were the best on the block. She loved serving as a provider and taking care of elderly people, both her family and others. She enjoyed and appreciated the good and simple things in life. She loved listening to country music, especially the old stuff. She was thrilled with her car, a 2016 Ford Escape loaded with all the extras that she thought were the greatest, and often said she wished she’d had that car when she was 30. She loved garage sales. She loved playing all kinds of games, loved trying her luck at the casinos, and was fortunate to go one last time on the Friday before she passed away. She lived to care for people, especially her family. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Beckett (Dennis) of Blanchard, and LaDonna Williamson of Seminole; one grandson, Dwight Beckett (Michael) of Dallas TX; two granddaughters, Deenae Dingee (Jeff) of Newcastle, and Stephanie Branscum (Steven) of Newcastle; great-grandchildren: Kember Dingee, Kodi Dingee, Beckett Dingee, all of Newcastle, Aubri Evans (Lyndon) of Yukon, and Cole Branscum of Newcastle; and one great-great-grandson on the way; one sister, Alice Motley-Bryant.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Opal Griffin; her sister, LaJuana DeLoach, and brother Marvin Griffin and several other loved family and friends.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, June 15, 2026, 10:00am at Highway Baptist Church in Little, Oklahoma, with interment following at Little Cemetery. Rev. Mike Lewis was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Dennis Beckett, Dwight Beckett, Michael Beckett, Jeff Dingee, Steven Branscum, and Cole Branscum. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Griffin and Gary Griffin. www. fisherfh.net
