Gayla Ricketts

Services for Gayla Sue Ricketts were held Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with Rev. Nancy Dodson officiating.

Gayla Sue Ricketts was born August 13, 1966 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Phillip Dale Barnes and Wanda Sue (Williams) Barnes. She passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at her home in Cromwell, Oklahoma at the age of 58.

Gayla was a lifelong resident of the Cromwell area and a Butner High School graduate. She was a loving mother and daughter and worked for Enviro Systems of Seminole. Gayla also enjoyed being outdoors, including yardwork and working with her flower beds.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Sue Barnes and one brother, Jimmy Dale Barnes.

Survivors include two children, Lane Ricketts of Okemah and Sasha Ricketts of Cromwell; her father, Phillip Barnes of Cromwell; one sister, Tina Thompson of Cromwell; grandchildren, Kaydence and Tia Ricketts; niece, Devanie Thompson, nephew, Dylan Thompson and numerous cousins.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
