Betty Kennemer age 86, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born July 25, 1938 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Joe Keller Stubblefield and Fayla Viola (Moody) Hurst.

She was raised in Cromwell, Oklahoma on an oil lease. She started school in Maud. Her father moved them from Maud to Konawa then to Wewoka. She graduated from Wewoka High School. She was a house wife until her daughter was in 2nd grade then she went to work for First National Bank where she worked 51 years until she was 80 years old. She very much enjoyed her customers at the bank.

In Wewoka she met the love of her life R. Victor Kennemer III and they spent 36 very happy years together until his passing in 2018.

Betty enjoyed painting, sketching, piecing quilts, gardening, and being with her friends and family. She loved shopping and going to lunch with her daughter every week.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Kennemer III; siblings, Joe K. Stubblefield, Mary Stephens, Johnny Stubblefield.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Denise Williams and husband Bryan of Wewoka, OK; nieces, Britton O’Brien of Boston, MA, Regan McGinnis and husband Steve of Wichita Falls, Tx; nephews, Larry Stubblefield of Lewellen, NB, Terry Stubblefield of Eldorado, KS.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 12, 2025 at First United Methodist Church in Seminole, OK with Minister Charles King officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.

Pallbearers: Bryan Williams, Erek Williams, Keith Claybrook.
