Chieftains Host Tecumseh Savages Tonight

Another edition of Friday Night Lights will take place tonight when the Seminole Chieftains welcome bitter rival, the Tecumseh Savages, to Chieftain Stadium. Both teams come into the contest with 1-0 records.

Bowlegs Fall in Season Opener

The Bowlegs Bison Football Program started off their season this past Friday night hosting the Olive Wildcats. Bowlegs had a commanding lead throughout the first half, but the Wildcats rallied back and pulled out the win.

SSC Golf Teams Start Season Strong

SSC - Seminole State College’s men’s golf team won the Southwestern Christian Invitational, and the women finished second, at Earlywine Golf Course in Oklahoma City on Sept. 2-3.

Five Local Schools Battled It Out at LRC Tournament

The 2025 Little River Conference Fastpitch Tournament is in the books. This past weekend had ten local high schools battling it out for the championship crown. Five of our local county high schools started their tournament on Thursday evening.

Chieftains Defeat Wildcats in Season Opener

On a cool and windy Friday, Sept. 5, the Seminole Chieftains hosted the Checotah Wildcats in a non-district battle to open up the 2025 season. A slow, defensive battle in the first half turned into an offensive outburst by both teams in the second half, with the Chieftains coming out on top.
