Senate Passes Data Center Ratepayer Protection Act

The Oklahoma Senate on Tuesday unanimously passed legislation from Sen. Grant Green, whose district includes Seminole County, to protect Oklahomans from higher utility costs as a result of the growing number of data centers across the state.

Gov. Kevin Stitt has appointed Haley Coates and David Hooten to serve as members of the Seminole State College Board of Regents. Their appointments were presented by Sen. Grant Green and confirmed by the Oklahoma State Senate Education Committee at the State Capitol on April 28.

WEWOKA- Seminole County Assessor Paul Mathews was named in an accusation returned by a grand jury here this morning seeking to remove him from office for “willful maladministration.” The grand jury also issued five indictments against Mathews accusing him of signing false travel claims.
