Visa L. (Floyd) Goss Pauley entered into the gates of Heaven on January 31, 2020 at the age of 89.

Visa was a vibrant person with a smile for everyone, a song in her heart, and a dance in her walk.

She had a strong Christian faith and led each of her children to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her careers included being a quality inspector at Blue Bell (Wrangler) and a pharmacy tech at Central Drug and Seminole Municipal Hospital, retiring almost 30 years ago.

She was born to Robert William Floyd and Leetha Betty (Owens) Floyd in Durant Oklahoma on April 21, 1930.

She married Luther Franklin Goss, Jr (known as Junior Goss) on June 29, 1946. She was a young bride who fell in love with her WW2 paratrooper and married within a month of meeting him.

From that union was born 3 daughters: Linda Yarbrough, Debbie Melott, Sandy Weatherly and one son Donnie Goss.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Junior Goss, her son Donnie Goss, her son in law Eddie Yarbrough, her sisters Lillian Spence and Mildred Edney, her brother Charles Floyd, three siblings that died in infancy, a great-grandson Nicholas Patterson, and her husband later in life, Jimmie Pauley.

She is survived by her three daughters and two sons in law; Linda Yarbrough of Benicia California, Debbie Melott and her husband Ed of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Sandy Weatherly and her husband Mike of Wewoka Oklahoma; and her daughter-in-law Norma Goss Hurst of Maud Oklahoma.

She has 11 grandchildren: Rob (Suzi) Yarbrough, Todd (Nicole) Yarbrough, Brad (Cindy) Goss, Derek Goss, Mike Goss, Lisa Rosamond, Mark Goss, Gina Goss, Daniel (Janessa) Melott, Brandon (Lindsey) Melott, and Jared Weatherly (Fiance’ Molly Chaney); and 20 great grandchildren; Cole Yarbrough, Blake Yarbrough, Madison Yarbrough, Ruby Yarbrough, Cassie McNew, Tyler Trujillo, Brooke NcNew, Chad Adams, Jason Williams, Summer Patterson, Bradon Roberts, Haley Goss, Aaron Melott, Chloe Melott, Abner Melott, Jace Weatherly, Gavin Weatherly, Cami Weatherly, Christian Jones, and Chaz Weatherly; 13 great-great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visa’s outlook on life was to see the best in people, be kind, always have a smile and sing!

She was a devotional leader and Sunday school class secretary at First Baptist Church Seminole for many years. Upon retirement, she began attending weekly senior citizen dances that spanned three counties.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Everyone was always welcome in her home. She loved the holidays, family gatherings, many trips to California, camping and fishing, and a challenging game of Rook and Dominoes. Now she is singing and dancing in Heaven.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Village in Holdenville for the love and care they gave to her. They became an extended part of our family.

Services will be held Saturday February 8th, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, with Rev. Victor Mendoza officiating at the service.
