Travis Nathan Phay passed away on June 1, 2021, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born April 17, 1986 in Florida to parents Ronald Glen Phay and Jetty Lucinda (Tate) Cook. He grew up in the Seminole/Bowlegs area. He was the Chief Operating Superintendent for Cougar King Construction in Seminole.

Travis enjoyed fishing, driving his truck down the river and playing Xbox with his sons Trae and Ty. He was a member of the Iron Heads Club. His family remembers that Travis would always light up the room when he entered and was a very big social butterfly. He loved his wife, Cassie, unconditionally. He loved his friends and would keep in touch with them daily. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a great protector of his friends and family. Travis’ favorite quote was “We are not here for a long time; we are here for a good time”.

Left to cherish Travis’ memory are his wife Cassie of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, his sons; Trae Benefield and Ty Benefield, his daughters; Matti Phay and Emma Davis, his parents; Ron Glen Phay and Cindy Cook, his brothers; Wade Lanier, Eric Reed and Ty Phay and his sisters; Mandy Phay and Richard Braziel, Jackie Calvert and Ty, Jessie Bailey and Jessy and Jenny Phay, his sisters-in-law; Laura Jacene and Jerica Adame’ and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather; Doc Phay, his grandmother; Terry Phay and his stepfather; John Cook.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

The Funeral Service for Travis will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Nathan Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Casket bearers will be Nathan Cross, Stevo Minter, Travis Wilson, Zack Davis, James Bryant, Clint Pinion, Joe Robledo, Ty Phay and Chastin Nichols. Honorary bearers will be Trae Benefield and Ty Benefield.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
