Regina Franklin was found deceased on December 31, 2021, at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born August 9, 1959, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to John and Betty (Higdon) Franklin. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1977 and attended nursing school where she attained her LPN License.

Gina was a member of the Methodist Church in Seminole.

Seminole. Gina’s passion in life was rescuing and finding furever homes for the homeless animals in our community and the surrounding communities. There was never a time when Gina was called that she didn’t get in her car and go help. She loved every dog she met and always said “I can’t trust people but I can trust my dogs.” She was a Board Member of the Seminole Humane Society.

Leaving behind to grieve her are cousins and greatnieces: Keith Higdon, Debra Seaman Langford, Donnie Seaman, Gary Seaman, Brent Cotton, Mike Cotton, Bonnie (Tim) Azlin & Family, Candace Higdon and family, Rebecca (David) Deer & family and many other cousins, family and special friends. Gina was a friend to so many and our community was a better place because of her.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the Spring, please check Gina’s Facebook page for date, time and place.

“A cluster of memories sprinkled with tears, wishing God could have spared you a few more years.”
