Pauline “Polly” Howard, 92, passed away May 9, 2021 at her daughter’s home. Polly was born September 25, 1928 in Paola, Kansas the daughter of C.H. and Virginia Sharp.

She was the youngest of four children, three preceded her in death, Henry Grimes, Jr Sharp, and Tommy Sharp. She completed her GED at the age of 50 years. She worked very hard to get that certificate and was very proud of her accomplishment.

Polly married the late A.W. Howard Sr. in 1947. Together they had two children, the late A.W. Howard Jr. and Ginger Farnam. Polly gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1948. She became a devoted life member of the Nazarene denomination. She loved working in the church and cherished praising her Lord. Polly loved reading and studying her bible. She was a true prayer warrior. Always wearing a smile on her face, she was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend. Always thinking of others first, “To know her was to love her.” She truly loved her domino ladies. The fellowship that developed between those ladies was wonderful for Polly.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter, Ginger; her granddaughter, Stacie; and a host of family and friends. Polly was under the care of Traditions Hospice and looked forward to seeing the nurses and aids. A job well done, Thank You. What a celebration when Mom is reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. Viewing will be 4-8 PM Wednesday. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 13, 2021. Friends may leave condolences at www.vondelsmithmortuary.com.
