Seminole resident Neta Diana “Maw Bevan” Bevan passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Seminole.

Neta was born April 1, 1955 in Killeen, Texas to Moritz Edward Reissig and Emmaline Neta Reissig. Neta married the love of her life, Larry Wayne Bevan on August 12, 1969, in Killeen, Texas.

Neta is survived by her children, sons and daughter-in-law John Bevan and wife Belinda of Seminole, Kenneth

Bevan of Seminole, David Bevan of Seminole; daughters and sons-in-law Angela Watts and husband Steve of Coleman Texas, Mary Foster and husband Edward of Seminole, Emily Tate and husband Chris of Heavener, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Glen Henderson of Killeen Texas; sisters Shirley Benton of Killeen Texas, and Charlsie Rich of Okemah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Bevan, March 10, 2006 in Earlsboro; daughter, Dora Marie Bevan, February 14, 2020, in Shawnee; mother, Emmaline Neta Reissig on June 19, 2006, in Fulton Texas; father Moritz Edward Reissig, May 26, 2007 in Rockport Texas; grandson Justin Wany Bevan, September 4, 1989 in Oklahoma City; granddaughter Brittanie Rose Bevan May 21, 2009 in Seminole.

She was a homemaker and a mother to her grandchildren, not just her own. If you went to see her house, she was going to cook for you. She always had a smile on her face. She always had a story about something that she and Larry did together. She loved to go to the casino, and she talked to everyone. She loved her kids and would do anything for them.

Services will be Monday, April 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M., at Friends Free Will Baptist Church in Cromwell, with Richard Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Friends Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Cromwell. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
