Joyce Ellen Calvert age 75 of Wewoka, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 4th, 2022. Joyce was born April 5th, 1946 in Holdenville, OK to the late James Audie Bural Brown and Mildred May (Martin) Brown.
She graduated from Sasakwa. Joyce married David Calvert on February 4, 1966 in Wewoka, OK. Joyce Calvert was a Child Nutrition Director at Wewoka Public Schools. She was a member of Blessed Rock Free Will Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK. She loved cooking, crocheting, sewing, and fishing.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Floyd Calvert; brothers, Roy M. Brown Sr. and James Harold Brown; and sister, Patsy Darlene Garner.
She is survived by her husband; son, Jimmy Walter Calvert and wife Andrea Calvert of Wewoka, OK; grandchildren, Jessica Calvert, Kristi Cook and husband Austin, Faith Kanada, Braden Calvert; great-grandchildren, Raylee Morrison, Carson Garner, Cooper Garner, Carter Cook, Cason Cook, and Everly Cook.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at New Life Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating, assisting him will be Deacon Kerry Robinson, Pastor Joe Ward. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
