Seminole resident Joseph Chupco died Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Tulsa.

Joseph, the son of Louis and Juanita (Buck) Chupco, was born December 23, 1946 in Wewoka. After graduating from high school, Joseph joined the US Army, proudly serving for 13 years, three years of which he was in Vietnam. Joseph enjoyed watching tv, particularly Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as other family members, June Billie, Dorothy Chupco, David Chupco, and Ricky Chupco. Joseph is survived by his

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Rita Ann Spensser, of North Carolina; brother, Terry Chupco of Shawnee; sisters, Shirley Proctor of Virginia, Wanda Fox of Wewoka, and DeAnn Pierce of Moore; grandchildren, Matthew Byers and Brandon Byers; and many other family and friends.

A wake service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with Pastor Houston Tiger and Pastor Curtis Kinney officiating. Interment will follow at Little Quarsarty Cemetery in Cromwell. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
