Johnny Murray

Murray Johnny Murray passed Sunday, March 22, 2026 at his home in Wewoka, Oklahoma at the age of 70. He was born September 2, 1955 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Bobby Murray and Ella Mae (Martin) Murray. He married Cynthia LaVor Blanton on December 23, 1974 in Cromwell, OK.

He worked as a truck driver in the oilfield for many years. He enjoyed chickens, watching WWE wrestling, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Murray.

Johnny is survived by his wife Cynthia Murray of the home; children, Shawn Murray and wife Tammy of Seminole, OK, Hollie Beeler and husband Jason of Cromwell, OK; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Smith of Wewoka, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 24, 2026 and from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, OK.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Nancy Dodson officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.

Pallbearers: Ricky Appleton, Xavier Ledezma, Kia Songer, Harley Lovett, Bryan Beeler, Anthony Willis.

Honorary pallbearers: Shawn Murray, Chad Harjo.
