On Monday, January 25, 2021, James Edward Young passed away at the age of 77. The second youngest of four boys born to Mattie and Morris Rex (Jack) Young, James was born on October 12, 1943 in Lamesa, Texas.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 22 years, Qihua Zhang; daughters, Susan Young Sterrer and Kimberlyn Schumaker; 1 granddaughter,; brothers, Rex Young, Dewey Young and Carey Young.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27 and Thursday, January 28 at Swearingen Funeral Home, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery, 500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73139. The service will be live streamed on the Swearingen Funeral Home Facebook page. An online memorial service through Facebook or YouTube will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb 6, 2021 from Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
