Frank D. Carter, 75, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 in Shawnee.

He was born August 19, 1945 to Robert and Laura (Parsons) Carter in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Frank was raised in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools and loved to play the drums. He has lived in Tecumseh for the last 60 years.

He married Debra Kay Lockeby on August 16, 1973 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Frank worked in car sales for nearly 60 years and had a passion for wheeling and dealing.

He loved roller skating, fast cars, old western movies and old time gospel music. Frank has a gift to gab and never met a stranger. He loved his family and enjoyed visiting. Frank loved sharing the word of God and inviting people to attend his church. He lived his life his way — with a love for people.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 10 brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Debra Carter of the home; 7 daughters, Kelly and Jared Gibson of Shawnee, OK, Kim Carter of Eufaula, OK, Kristi Mclnturff of Konawa, OK, Karn Zito of Henryetta, OK, Misti McGee of Tulsa, OK, Shawna and Chad Trahan of Shawnee, OK and Delana Carter of Tecumseh, OK; 2 sons, David and Givonna Carter of Meeker, OK and Jarod and Shanda Hile of Seminole, OK; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Shirley Warden; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to an account that has been set up in Frank and Debra Kay Carter’s name at First United Bank. Contributions can be made at any First United Bank location.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2021 at Little Cemetery in Seminole with Reverend Lonnie Hurst officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
