This is the story of Gwendolyn Mae Wade Danielson. Gwen was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Grandma D,” as she liked to be called by her grandchildren, was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Gwen’s story starts on July 13, 1942, the third child of Clarence and Edith Wade. Gwen was born in Wewoka, OK. Gwen was raised in Seminole, where she would spend her childhood, grow up, graduate in 1960, make many lifelong friends, go to school and then raise her children. Seminole is where she would meet the love of her life, Dan Danielson. Dan and Gwen had a whirlwind romance and were married in 1960 in Holdenville, OK.

Gwen is a retired civil servant from Tinker A.F.B., she was a lifelong faithful member of the Lord’s church, church of Christ. Gwen was a travel connoisseur. Nothing could stop her from seeing the world. She loved to play cards with her friends and family and could spend hours doing so. If you knew Gwen you know that she never met a stranger. If there was anywhere Gwen loved to be it was with her friends and family, after all, she was the best at getting everyone together.

Gwen’s grandchildren were her heart and joy. There’s no denying that her grandbabies were the people that she loved the most. Time spent at “Grandma D’s” house was very special for her grandbabies, and parents were discouraged from hanging out too long.

Gwen was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clarence and Edith Wade, brothers Jerry, Jim, and Joe Wade, and her sister Shirley Reddin. Loved ones that will miss Gwen until they meet again are her husband Dan Danielson of Edmond; her sister Kathy and Ron Allan of Asher; her daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Owen Corwin of Bristow; her son and daughter in-law Brian and Aubree Danielson of Edmond; her son Dannie Danielson Jr. of Edmond; and her grandchildren Auston and Carley Corwin of Norman, Meridith and Rodney Tinnin of Chandler, Elizabeth Corwin of Tulsa, Connor Corwin of Norman, Wyatt Danielson of Edmond, Lauren Danielson of Edmond, Lacey and Robbie Hudson of Guthrie, Lindsay and Hunter Hibbard of Oklahoma City, Luca Danielson of Edmond, Jadyn Danielson of Edmond; and her great grandchildren Haven Hudson of Guthrie, Henley Hudson of Guthrie, Colt Hudson of Guthrie, Everett Hibbard of Oklahoma City, Pierce Hibbard of Oklahoma City, and Vivian Tinnin of Chandler.

Gwen passed away from this life Dec 13, 2021.

The memorial service will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, 10 a.m. at Deer Creek church of Christ in Edmond, OK.
