Antler Harjo, age 80 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away December 13, 2021 at his home under Kindful Hospice, and surrounded by his loving family.

There will be a Wake service at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at High Springs Indian Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. He will be taken from the funeral home to the church at 4:00 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 17th at the church. Billy Foster will officiate, and burial will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery.

Antler was born April 16, 1941 in Konawa to Charlie W. Harjo and Amie Bearinese (Gilroy) Harjo. He graduated from high school while he was in the military. He proudly serviced in the Army from March, 1960 until March, 1963.

He is survived by one son, Charlie Jack Harjo and wife, Christina of Bethany, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rhonda Leigh Narcomey and Darrin Harjo of Konawa; two sisters, Sarah Ann Porter of Konawa, and Betty Jo Morris and husband, Kenneth of Texas; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Jackie Ann Kernel; one daughter, Rhoda Lovell Camp; three brothers, Lewis, Andrew, and Hubert Harjo; three sisters, Juanita Jefferson, Ruby Harjo, and Lucy Harjo.
