Earline Ellen (Lairson) Childers passed from this life on Friday, January 6, 2023. Earline was born February 12, 1928 in Macomb, OK to William Henry and Mattie Lea (Pierce) Lairson. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1945.

Earline married James Earl Childers on March 30, 1946 in Purcell, OK. They had four children together and she gained Richard as a step-son. She worked as a supply technician at Tinker Air Force Base until she retired.

Earline spent her time crocheting, being a crossword & cryptogram puzzle master, playing computer games, and researching the genealogy of the family.

She was a member of Church of Christ in Shawnee, Tecumseh, and Little. Through church she spent time as a cook for Burnt Cabin Christian Youth Camp.

Earline was a dedicated Christian, wife, and mother.

She is preceded in death by parents William and Mattie Lairson; husband James Childers; brother B.D. Lairson and his wife Inez, twin brother Charles Lairson and his wife Virginia; sister Cordelia Gilbert, and sister Rosie Brightwell and her husband Don.

She is survived by her children Richard Childers and wife Pat of Konawa, OK, Sandra Birdwell and husband Larry of Little, OK, Jama Prucha and husband Charles (Charlie) of Orange Beach, AL, Debbie Wright and husband Robbie of Fort Worth, TX, Jim (Mel) Childers and wife Elaine of Jenks, OK; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh at 2PM.
