Dorothy Jean Hartsfield, of Crocker, Missouri, was born on May 14, 1931 in Butner District, Oklahoma, the oldest child of Nathan and Ethel Pearl (Davis) Blanton and departed this life peacefully at 10:06 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, Jefferson City, Missouri.

Mrs. Hartsfield was united in marriage in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Houston M. Hartsfield and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston on October 13, 2000; her son, Ted Hartsfield on May 7, 2020, four brothers, John, Darrell, Lee and Arthur Blanton and two sisters, Gala and Ann.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Hartsfield include: her children, Tracy Hartsfield, Seminole, Oklahoma; Harlen Hartsfield, California, Missouri and Etta Clark, Iberia, Missouri; two brothers, Glen Dale Blanton Wewoka,OK and Nathan Blanton, Jr.. of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Virginia Haley, Carol Larcen of Tecumseh, OK and Linda June Shaub, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held for Mrs. Hartsfield from 5 – 7 P.M., Friday, June 5, 2020, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, Missouri.

An additional visitation was held for Mrs. Hartsfield from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020 in the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Nathan Blanton, Jr. officiating.

Interment was in the Butner Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma.
