Cletus Hamlett

Cletus Edward Hamlett, Seminole resident, passed away at his home on March 3, 2021, at the age of 66. Cletus was born on July 16, 1954, in Ashboro, North Carolina, to Clitus and Maxine (Wilson) Hamlett. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life and then retired.

Cletus married Nancy Westcott on March 2, 1974 in Randleman, North Carolina. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Cletus is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Hamlett; daughters, April Hamlett, Gabriel Vazquez of Seminole, OK and Andrea Jones of Clifton, TX; two brothers, Charlie Ray of Ashboro, NC and John Sherman of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Margie Cox of Randleman, NC; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Cletus was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Amy Hamlett Hurell and Helen Hamlett.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Marchand Fleming officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
