Seminole resident Billy Wayne Kreeger passed away Monday, March 21, in Seminole at the age of 90.

Bill, the son of Fritz Kreeger and Una Mae (Walston) Kreeger Bales, was born January 4, 1932 in Megargel, Texas. He proudly served in the US Army, during which time, Bill was stationed in Germany and had many great memories of his time there. On May 7, 1950, he married Billie A Goodwin, in Archer City, Texas. Bill and Billie spent 63 years as husband and wife, before her passing in 2013. Bill grew up in Electra, Texas; a truck driver in the oil field, Bill relocated to Seminole in 1963, where he raised his family. Over the years, Bill worked for Jerry Scott Drilling and Tiger Trucks.

Bill enjoyed hunting and Lake Time at his Wewoka Lake home with his family. Bill was jug lining and water skiing well into his 70s; he could take off at the dock and ski into the bank without getting wet.

He was a hard worker and a family man. He spoiled the kids and many nieces and nephews as much as he could. His nick name was Wild Bill, that came from work. He could place any equipment in a tight place, just be sure and move out of his way! Companies would call on him when nobody else thought a rig or equipment would fit in its place.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz Kreeger and Una Mae Kreeger Bales; a brother, Charles Kreeger; sisters, Peggy Switzer, Brenda Cosky, Barbara Jo Nara, and Betty McCain; sons, Derrel Kreeger and Dan Kreeger.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Mitzi Houck of Seminole; grandchildren, Kade Houck, Chad Houck, Colt Kreeger and Kyle Kreeger; great grandchildren, Jackson, Jett and Reese Kreeger, Olli Kreeger, Harper, Henley and Harlow Houck, Kenzie Houck, Kaylee, Braylen and Rylan Jones, and Jordan and Knox Lowe; two special nephews, Marty McCain and Jeff Standard; and many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Marty McCain, Jeff Standard, Kade Houck, Chad Houck, Blake Johnson and Jackson Kreeger.

There will be a visitation, Thursday, March 24, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Services will be Friday, March 25, at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with Jeff Nance officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
