Barbara Anne Moon of Sasakwa, OK departed this life Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home.

She was born on March 31 1939 in Sasakwa, OK to the late Otto Theodore Eberle and Ethel Mae Brown Eberle.

She was a graduate of Sasakwa high school and received her associated degree from Seminole State College in nursing. She later received her master degree from University of Texas as Nurse Practitioner.

She worked for Ada Health Department, Holdenville Hospital and Wewoka IHS Clinic.

On June 12, 1957 she married James C. Moon in Sasakwa, OK.

Barbara was a member of Spring Baptist Church, where she was women church leader. She was reunion president of Culley School.

She was a volunteer aide at Sasakwa school. She served as missionary in Nigeria, Peru, England and Israel. She was also missionary worker in Wyoming on the Arapho-Shone Indian Reservation.

Her hobbies were Archery where she placed second in Women’s World Completion. In her spare time she loved to sew.

Preceding Barbara in death are her parents.

Survivors include husband James Cecil Moon, of the home, daughter Robin Moon of Sasakwa, son James D. Moon and wife Jenette of Konawa, OK, daughter, Yahanna Factor and husband, Mark of Seminole, OK, grandchildren, Jennifer Allison, Ryan Welch, John Chris Moon, Will Abbott, Jamie Abbott, Markie Factor and Gabby Factor, siblings Claude and Ellen Eberle of Tennessee, Betty Parrette of Ada, Ramona Scott of Ada, Teddy and Carolyn Eberle of Konawa, and Laveda Head of Ada, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pall bearers will be James D Moon, Ryan Welch, Scott Allison, William Abbott, Bryan Eberle and Bryce Welch.

Honorary pall bearers will be Jesse Blackburn, Kelly Blackburn, Joe Engle and the late George Jesse.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Spring Baptist Church Sasakwa under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Wewoka, OK.
