Wrangler becomes part of Kontoor Brands
The VF Corporation has announced changes to their company, and that has had an impact on the Seminole Wrangler plant.
According to a press release, the VF Corporation has made changes within the company, creating a jeanswear organization as an “independent, publicly-traded company called Kontoor Brands.”
The press release indicates that VF holds a “diverse portfolio of iconic outdoor and activity-based lifestyle and workwear brands.” These brands include Dickies, The North Face, and Timberland. The company touts itself as “one of the world’s largest apparel, footwear and accessories companies with socially and environmentally responsible operations.”
Kontoor Brands is a “global lifestyle apparel company,” according to the release. Kontoor will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange as “KTB.”
The information from the parent company VF indicates that the stock adjustments completing the change in organization was completed in early May.
There is no information from the company regarding what impact this will have to the local facility, if any.
