He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands

Isn’t it interesting that we divide times for historical records with BC and AD (before Christ and after his death), yet some people believe his brief 33 years on earth was insignificant or even a myth? That drop in the bucket of time has been used to divide time on earth for over 2,000 years!!! Think about it. This fact should shake up people to consider more seriously just who Jesus was on earth, and who still can play an important role in our lives today.

We can’t ignore his existence when archeologists continue to all kinds of evidence of writings and illustrations about God’s Son, Jesus, carved on rocks and preserved tablets.

Some think the power of suggestion in general can bring the same results as praying to God and/or His son, Jesus. Do they ever consider just WHO created their magnificent brain in the first place for them to come up with that idea? Then why not praise and respect God for all of His creation? An avid reader of research, I learn the more science tries to disprove Him, their findings proves His existence even stronger, over and over again.

What gets me is why people dispute Jesus’ life, when it was all about helping others in time of sorrow, sickness, and loss. It’s like the sickos in our country now trying to do away with people who put their lives on the line every day to protect us from bad people who want to rob us of things we work hard for, destroy our homes, and businesses and even to hurt us to the point of taking our lives. Now, does that make any sense? No, of course not. That’s just how far people are getting away from the Book that teaches us how to live with kindness, compassion, respect, generosity, and love for one another.

They have already removed teachings of the good life from schools, public buildings, businesses, and the next step, may be from our own homes. Oh, okay....so let’s build a country of selfishness, evil activities, and downright destruction. Let’s promote this in TV, movies, and video games... Oh, yeah, they’ve already been doing that. This will help raise up a generation of unimaginable, mindless.... You fill in the words. Man, does our world need prayers to God continuously!

Another reason to pray to God is for the consciousnesses of people who are mercilessly killing our children by the thousands. Pray they will repent for such monstrous, unbelievable actions. I never, never, never would have ever, ever, ever thought our world would come to this!

However, as a Bible student, I learn our world doesn’t get better in the “end times” just as it did before Noah’s time. It’s not what I “think,” it’s what I believe in the words from a book that is still a best-seller since it was printed. Its contents were preserved for thousands of years. If it teaches us how to be satisfied, happy, healthy, and have a better life, then why not refer to it daily? The Bible’s purpose is summed up as being called The Good News.

The Good News is about Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. And, our example is the selfless way Jesus lived, always helping others without prejudice. He, Himself, represents pure love. Believing in Jesus Christ and asking forgiveness for whatever sins we may have done, is what we are to do. We can’t buy our way to heaven. We can’t work our way to heaven. We just have to do what John 3:16 says to “...believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we shall be saved.”

How do we function, then? I love to listen to a young preacher on TV who has the most positive presentations, Joel Osteen. It’s refreshing to hear his sharing the Scriptures in such a manner. For us to be able to share this Good News it is imperative that we stay as positive as we can, as we share it to the whole world.

To watch shows about earth’s history, I watch the Hope Channel. It especially uses the books of the Bible, Genesis, Daniel, and Revelation, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, for studies on the creation, transitions of nations’ powers still happening today, God’s revealing earth’s history to the end of time, and Jesus’ life. I follow along their teachings with my New International Version of the Bible. Ever learning fascinates me.

My only intention in this writing is to stimulate interest in activities in reading and watching TV that helps give millions peace. And in these days, many are looking for peace. Peace and hope come by learning to lean on God. It strengthens us, gives us purpose, and helps us to help others. There is no reason to live in fear when we can fellowship with our Heavenly Father. Like the song says, “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” He’s got this! He always has.
