A Wolf area man was acquitted of charges of horse theft and disturbing the peace Friday in the Court of Justice of the Peace J.L. Hines. The horse theft charges were dropped at the recommendation of Assistant County Attorney Tom Biggers.

The automobile stolen from Allie Gagner, Carter Oil Company pumper, by two hijackers here early Sunday morning was recovered today at McAlester, Police Chief Jake Sims was informed. Gagner was robbed by two men who entered his car while he was parked in front of Hunt Tire and Supply Company at 10:15 Saturday night. They forced him to drive to Danielson’s Lake ten miles northeast of Seminole. There they made him get out of the car and bound his arms and legs with bailing wire.

Mrs. Mauda Spurr, 401 Park street, returned during the weekend from Wichita, Kansas after visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lampl.

To celebrate the 12th birthday of her son James, Mrs. J.B. O’Mara, 601 Jefferson, entertained a group of young friends. Games were planned fro entertainment and prizes were awarded to Margurite Woodburn. Virginia Pickhardt, and Bobby Sullivan. Other guests were Olga Jean Stinson, Jean Beanfeldt, Betty Lou Anderson, Betty Lou O’Mara and Louis Ray Hall.

Miss Lucille Hicks of Seminole won the Anti-Salon League oratorical prize at the Oklahoma Baptist University last week, friends here were advised today. Miss Hicks is a graduate of Seminole High School and a sophomore at the Shawnee institution.
