At noon today it was 70 degrees in Seminole after a low Thursday night of 68, the local station of the National Weather Service reported. High temperature Thursday was 85 degrees. Rainfall up to noon was .28 inch.

The nation’s unemployment rate crept upward in July to 5.8 per cent, the Labor Department reported today. But the increase was smaller than many economists had anticipated.

Seminole City Manager Don Bown today announced that the one-way streets surrounding the Seminole Presbyterian Church have been made two-way streets again.
