Area legislators Senator Grant Green and Representative Danny Williams will be the guest speakers at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce monthly forum meeting on Thursday, Jan. 8. The luncheon meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Haney Center at Seminole State College.

They will be speaking about outcomes of the last legislative Session that concluded in May, 2025, and will preview issues to be addressed during the 2nd Session of the 60th Legislative Session scheduled to convene in February 2026.

Green (R-Wellston) will enter his fourth Session after being elected in November, 2022 filling an open seat previously held by Senator Zack Taylor (R-Seminole).

A sixth-generation Oklahoman, Green and his wife of 24 years, Dana, share five children and four grandchildren. The couple attends Siat Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from Wellston High School and is a farmer and rancher, and former small business owner. Green is the former owner of Green’s Propane, a family business started by his father. Green and his brother bought the company in 2004. In 2016, Grant became the sole owner and sold the business in 2020.

Green has served as a member of Senate Committees on: Appropriations; OMES; Agriculture and Wildlife; Energy; Rules; and Economic Development, Workforce and Tourism.

Williams was elected to represent District 28 in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives during November 3, 2020 General Election.

Williams owns Statewide Communications, a small business that provides high-speed internet service to rural Oklahomans. He also serves on the board of Seminole County Hope House, a residential addiction treatment program that he helped start.

A graduate of Southern Nazarene University, Williams has two adult sons and nine grandchildren. He attends Immanuel Fellowship Church with his wife, Joyce, where he also teaches a Sunday School class for individuals recovering from addiction.

Williams holds a leadership position in the House of Representative serving as Majority Caucus Vice Chair. His committee assignments last Session included: Children, Youth and Family Services; Appropriations and Budget Human Services Subcommittee; Criminal Justice and Corrections; Elections & Ethics; and Conference Committee on Children, Youth and Family Services.

The forum meeting of local civic clubs is open to the public. Cost for the meal is $15 per person.
