Strother Cinema announced this week that they are once again offering free summer kids movies every Tuesday and Thursday from June 3 - July 31.

“We are so happy to again be able to bring the Summer Kids Movie Program back to the Seminole community so our kids can come and enjoy the movie experience,” said Steve Schoaps, co-owner of Strother Cinema. “Lisa and I, along with our great sponsors, believe that the Summer Kids Movie Program is a fantastic way to introduce kids to the movies and give them an activity to do during the summer months. We are so thankful to all our generous sponsors who make it possible for us to offer free admission, popcorn and a drink to every kid that comes on Tuesday and Thursday during June and July. We encourage everyone to reach out and thank the sponsors personally if you enjoy this great program for the kids.”

The movie schedule this year is: June 3 & 5 - “An American Tail,” June 10 & 12 - “Migration,” June 17 & 19 - “The Bad Guys,” June 24 & 26 - “Shrek,” July 1 & 3 - “Sing 2,” July 8 & 10 - “The Wild Robot,” July 15 & 17 “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” July 22 & 24 - “The Land Before Time” and July 29 & 31 - “Curious George.” All showings will be at 10 a.m.

“Some kids don’t get to go to the movies and that’s a shame”, said Schoaps. “If we can get just a few kids to the movies to laugh and have fun, then all of this is worthwhile. And we love to see the smiles on their faces when they’ve had such a good time. After all, that’s what movies are all about.”

Strother Cinema is a locally owned and operated, fully digital, first run movie theatre located at 1110 E. Strother in Seminole.
