Agler Enters Plea of no Contest, Felony Reduced to Misdemeanor

Posted in:

The former construction superintendent of the Blackburn Ridge townhouse development in Seminole has entered a plea of no contest to charges of embezzlement.

Thomas “Tommy” Agler was arrested in March 2024 on a felony count of embezzlement and bound over for trial. The trial was scheduled for later this month. According to court records, Agler pleaded no contest Thursday in Seminole County District Court, and the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.

Agler received a oneyear suspended sentence, which means he will be on probation under the supervision of Oklahoma Court Services. Under his probation agreement, Agler must refrain from alcohol and illegal drugs must submit to random drug tests. He is also not allowed to possess or carry a firearm while he is on probation.

The charges stem from allegations that Agler took equipment from the Blackburn Ridge construction site, including an auger valued at over $6,000. The allegations were made by Brandon Streater, co-developer of the townhome addition.
